I’m so proud of my miniature tree. I brought it to my apartment after Thanksgiving, didn’t touch it, and then finally put the ornaments on it after I brought it home to my parents house, two days before Christmas Day! Lol! I think waiting till the last minute just runs in our family, but I don’t care. I like it!

So guess what? I’m up late, doing a reaction paper for history. This is going to cost me being able to efficiently memorize a Bach prelude. Clearly, Dr. Wolf doesn’t know what it’s like to be a music major. (major eyeroll)

My good gracious. I swear, if I have to do another assignment for history - another paper, another quiz, another debate, whatever - I will loose my mind. I moved from Rome to be a better musician, not to learn every minute detail of the American Revolution and Slavery and simultaneously become and English major! I did not uproot myself for this, no ma’am (ma’am because my history professor is a woman), I most certainly did not!
But on the other hand Dr. Rivkin likes my arpeggios - take that UGA piano majors! Mwahahaa!

Some of you may have heard that Fred Mills died over Labor day weekend. Please read this article. I only sort of met him a few days before in voice class, but it sounds like he was a pretty cool guy and that we’ve lost someone important in our music community.
